Winter Campaign: 31 Days of Goodwill
For the second year in a row, the LSL Communities Forum has launched its Winter campaign: 31 Days of Goodwill. The campaign runs throughout December and focuses on offering support to local communities across the UK. As a Group, we’re encouraging our colleagues to show their goodwill to others by donating their time, effort or items to support others who desperately need it. Being a responsible business has never been more important and supporting colleagues in connecting with our communities is a priority for us.
The Forum has developed a calendar of ideas and a range of supporting materials to help colleagues make a real difference. Those who have already pledged their support are shown below.

As part of this meeting on the 24th November, we also raised donations for the local community – giving children’s toys to those who can’t afford them and participated in the coat collection for the homeless at Solihull. We also have individuals in the team, who regularly donate to charity, or have done so recently as sponsorship for events. Some of the team treated members of staff in the office to cakes and sausage rolls from Greggs at lunchtime. We have also previously donated to food banks, animal shelters and various other charities and all utilise re-useable and sustainable items rather than single use to help the environment.

To help children that are currently staying at the Birmingham children's hospital by donating new toys so that they will have a gift to wake up to on Christmas day! My daughter is currently doing an apprenticeship at the hospital so gets to see first hand the rollercoaster of emotions these children go through. We are in the process of purchasing as many gifts as we can to cater for the different age groups and hope to put some smiles on faces this Christmas.

I have been Fundraising for Christmas gifts to support children from an underprivileged background locally to the Solihull office. All Children will have a gift to open on Christmas day, I have supported raising funds by running raffles in the office and collecting new toys from our generous colleagues . Fundraising will continue over the next 10 days, as we will purchase food parcels. again to support the same charity, which will endeavour no child goes without food over the festive period.
